Duphalac contains lactulose, which is used for treating constipation and preventing and treating portal-systemic encephalopathy (PSE), including stages of hepatic precoma and coma. It works by increasing osmotic pressure within the colon and acidifying its contents, leading to increased stool water content and stool softening.

Dosage

Contraindications
